BiolinScientific is a leading provider of analytical instruments for the nanoscale study of interfaces and molecular interaction on surfaces. Our products are primarily used for research and development purposes, but also have applications in quality control and diagnostics. The core application area for our products is nanotechnology, applied to bioscience, materials R&D and chemical engineering. A typical area of study is protein adsorption to different materials or protein analysis in the pharma industry, such as aggregation phenomena.
Analysis instruments for nanoscale study of interfaces and molecular interactions
Our instruments are used to study and characterize the surface of materials and molecules. They analyze the surface interface to the surrounding environment and molecular interactions on a nanometer scale.
You can for example study events and nanoscale changes of molecular layers, such as mass, thickness, binding, viscosity, elasticity, hydration, density and molecular orientation. Typically, we can deposit an ultra-thin layer on a surface, measure the thickness of that surface layer, or study its chemical properties. Our instruments are used in research ranging from bioscience such as the formulation of protein drugs, to materials R&D, to the development of solar panels for satellites.
